What’s up! Here for a quick blog update!
This past weekend was a fucking blast. My boyfriend and I needed it so bad. Friday after work was a mind fuck due to traffic, so we headed up Sat. morning. We brought up our gaming systems, 3 bottles of whiskey, food (with ice cream and cookies), and plans for a total relaxing weekend. I probably should have schedule my week off to include this time, but hey, it just happened to all work out! My guy never gets week days off since he’s an electrician! 😦
Saturday was the laziest day I’ve had in a while. It felt so good. Sunday we woke up, 12 hours later! I cooked a big breakfast, we lounged in our pjs, showered and had a very nice anniversary weekend!! I didn’t eat terrible, but my body is hating me anyways right now as I get back to my schedule/clean eating.
The weather was beautiful and couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend our 3 years together! (it’s officially the 19th, but whos counting?)
Monday was a bust, since we were very hung over and got home a little later than expected. I did use this time to ice down, food shop, do lots of laundry and get my thoughts back to training & work related shit. It’s tough even though it was only a 3-day vaca (kind of sad I was this excited for it), but sitting by the fire all cozied up with my guy was the best thing in the world.
Tuesday was suppose to lifting & some cardio, but as I started on the deadlift warm ups, I almost threw up. I felt it sitting in my stomach and I kept trying to breathe and talk myself out of the “full” feeling in my stomach. Nope. Bent down and threw up in my mouth. Cute, huh?
I felt bloated, full and pretty much pissed off the rest of the day I couldn’t finish my lifting. Also, no I’m not pregnant…unless a food baby counts.
TUESDAY – HALF ASSED LIFTING
Step Climber Warmup: 165 bpm x 2 peaks
Chin Ups: Assisted: 110# x 1 x 10, 100# x 1 x 8, 90# x 1 x 7
Dips: 3 x 18, 18, 15
Overhead Press: 50# x 3 x 12, 10, 10
Deadlifts: 50# x 1 x 18, 70# x 1 x 14
That was when the hurl almost happened in front of packed gym. Eh.
Max HR: 166
Avg HR: 131
Thoughts: I don’t like counting this since the workout was NOT done. I planned on going after work to my other gym to finish shit up and take out my anger, but sitting in almost 2 hours of traffic, made me homicidal. I went home, ate, iced down again and went to bed early. Shauna was not happy, but my guy helped me smile by telling me his coworkers are jealous of my lunches I make for him. (He eats raw bell peppers now, I’m so proud!!)
WEDNESDAY – CARDIO & STRETCHES
Stretching was in order as well as dynamic stretching.
Step Climber lvl 13 Intervals (lactic acid training – owwie)
Cross Trainer, high resistance
Elliptical, lvl 15-25 intervals
Max HR: 176
Avg HR: 145
Thoughts: It was good. The lactic acid was intense doing high level intervals. The pressure alone in my legs want me want to just crawl back to bed and ignore the world. I wasn’t happy. But damn did it feel good lasting as long as I did on there. (10 intervals overall) (20s-30s each, 10-15s rest in between)
The rest of the week looks like this:
THURSDAY – AM SPRINTS, HILL TRAINING / PM LIFTING
FRIDAY – FOAM ROLL / AM HIIT
SATURDAY – AGILITY/SPEED /FOOT WORK TRAINING+ LONG TEMPO TRAIL RUN (trying for 7 miles!!!)
SUNDAY – OBSTACLE LSD TRAINING (6 sets baby!)
I know the rest of the week will fall into place. Plus next week will be fun for training since I have 2 1/2 days off. 🙂
